The Treadmill Is Going Too Fast

The Treadmill is Going Too Fast

Do you ever feel like you’re running on a treadmill that’s going too fast?  Like someone keeps upping the speed when you are barely keeping up as it is? I’m not talking literally here (if this is literally happening to you, make the person stop, slow down! Maybe stop using the treadmill altogether!)- What I mean is, in life – does it feel like it’s hard to keep up sometimes?

It seems like life is moving at a much faster pace now than it ever has. I don’t know this is due to modern technology and increased expectation or if the issue is timeless and it’s simply the result of having more responsibility as you grow up. When did the “there’s not enough hours in a day” or “it’s so hectic right now” start? Has it always been here and now that I’m in my mid- (ok fine, late)- 20s, I am finally feeling the pressure?

No matter where it came from, for me it’s here. I feel the pressure. My to-do list seems never ending and growing by the second. To put it simply, things are hectic. At this point I need to make a decision – do I change the way I operate or embrace the chaos.

I’m going to use this blog to chronicle the hectic adventures in my life and share tips, tricks and habits I find and create along the way as I attempt to lower the speed on my treadmill. So, if you’re in my boat – the one with too-fast treadmills and to-do lists longer than the tax code, you’re in the right place.

  1. My treadmill is always going to fast. Just this week I decided I need to go back to school for a Master’s Degree. I think I like have too much to do, mostly so I can complain about having too much to do. 😉 Looking forward to this blog.

  2. Aw, this was a very good post. Taking a few minutes and actual
effort to make a good article but what can I say I put things off a lot
and don’t seem to get anything done.

  3. I love to have a lot on my plate, mostly so I can complain about having a lot on my plate. Thinking about going back to school for a Master’s Degree. With the one hundred other things going on in my life right now, it just feels like good timing. 😉
